Merry Christmas!
Here are a few Ideas and Instructions
to help you use the
Buttons
& Car Sign artwork
Hi, and MERRY CHRISTMAS!
Thanks again for joining the grassroots efforts to help keep
Christ--and CHRISTMAS--in Christmas.
EASY INSTRUCTIONS
If you haven't already, start with a visit to the Home Page.
Then download
the artwork from this link (Detailed instructions below if you need them)
- Print the artwork. Cut it out with scissors. Spray it with
hairspray or clear spray paint if it's from an inkjet printer and
likely to get wet.
- You can use the 'pocket insert' either to hook over your shirt
pocket or pants pocket or...use your imagination!
- Wear your button everywhere you can...especially while shopping
and ESPECIALLY while checking out.
- Wish everyone a Merry Christmas! Tell people about
the real meaning of Christmas.
- You will be blessed. God promises to
honor those who honor Him.
Please remember to visit the Bulletin Board and share your Christmas
shopping experience--and check the Bulletin Boar to find or create
Christmas Caroling
opportunities! That's the short version...Want
more?
Ready to go Caroling? Want to help support
this movement? Read on...
Wish people Merry
Christmas even if they
don't respond. Unconditionally. Remember I
Corinthians 13 -- the Love Chapter! We have Faith, Hope and Love,
let's prove it to those that NEED Jesus. We change the world one
heart at
a time. Jesus told Twelve Friends, and they each told two
friends, and so on and so on...
Feel free to link to the HOME page--and
to
forward via email.
Prayer Request: Let's all
pray for the Hope-less atheists and other bitter
folks who are trying to steal America and outlaw Christ. While we
must
stand strong against them as a group, please remember that each one is
an individual, fearfully and wonderfully made--and they need genuine,
Christian friends.
Want
to push the (Christmas Card)
envelope?
Put Christmas Art on your envelopes!
Print the icon at the top of this page onto your Christmas Card
envelopes! Instructions below. The icon is just the right
size to use
on your Christmas Cards and other December envelopes.
Another Idea:
Give a copy of the MERCHANT NOTICE in the Artwork to the store greeter
or manager when
you arrive. (optional)
Another way to help you emphasize how
important this is:
As the clerk acknowledges you and begins to
check out your order, you
could greet them with pleasant smile, eye contact and a "Merry
Christmas." If they do not respond with tolerance and respect for
your
deeply-held personal views and beliefs, you could sing (with a genuine
smile!), "Please Wish Me
A Merry Christmas."
If they fail to provide you, their
Valued Customer, 100% Satisfaction,
explain that this is very important to you as a
customer. Ask for a Manager with the authority--and the
courage--to wish you
a Merry Christmas. Do it nicely, of course.
Remember it's their private property--but they want YOUR business
very badly. And they need Jesus even more than they need your
money..
Poster-size the art!
Be creative! Perhaps you'll want to enlarge the artwork and use
it to 'protest' intolerant stores.. But do it with a smile and do
it
legally and honorably!
If this helps you, encourages you--please pass it on.
A
couple more ideas --
Does your family 'holiday' celebration
seem shallow and hollow? You can bring hope and joy into your
home! Start a meaningful family tradition and read the Christmas
Story every year -- the source of hope and joy to millions. You
might want to start at the beginning of the Gospel of Matthew, or at
Luke 2.
Here is BibleGateway,
a great searchable online Bible site with many versions available.
Make an annual tradition of singing, attending or at least listening to
George Frederick Handel's MESSIAH - one of the most profound musical
works of all time. You can do a Search using Dogpile or Teoma or Google or other search tools.
Detailed
Instructions on how to print the mini-button at the top of the page
onto your envelopes:
Getting your Christmas Cards
out? Print
the stamp-sized 'mini-button' at the top of this page on the FRONT of
your envelopes and
Christmas Cards! The
little Christmas button at the top of this email is the perfect size to

onto your envelopes.
- Just right-click and save on your
desktop
- then open a graphics program like Microsoft
Paint, Adobe Photoshop or many
other other graphics-capable programs.
- open a new file,
- import the artwork (click on the
program's Help menu if needed) and then
- print it.at the top center of the
envelope or card.
- Experiment with some sheets of scratch
paper before trying to print on good envelopes.
Here is an
official U.S. Postal Service template for guidelines. While
this is for business-sized letters, if you put the 'mini-button' at the
top center of the envelope or
card, you should have no problem.

Detailed
Instructions on how to download and print artwork
1. Right click on the download link
2. To Save the file to your desktop,
- if you are using Microsoft Internet Explorer, left
click on 'Save target as' and navigate to your Desktop, then Save.
- if you are using Netscape, Firefox or Mozilla,
left click on 'Save Link target as' and navigate to your Desktop,
then Save.
3. After saving the file to your desktop, CLOSE your browser, your
email program and
any other open programs,
4. Double-click on the PDF file to open it,
5. Click on File then Print at the top left menu to print.
You may want to adjust your printer settings to "highest
quality." Depending on the amount of memory in your computer,
your printer need
several minutes to print the entire page.
NOTE: Inkjet printer ink is water-based. If your
'button' gets wet, it could ruin clothing. You can spray both
sides with hairspray or better yet, any type of clear spray paint--or
put the button in a sandwich bag or cling-wrap in a pinch.
Best solution: If you have access to a color laser printer, use
it instead of an inkjet printer. You can also print the art
using an inkjet printer, then take it to a copy store that has a color
copier. Make a bunch of copies and share them!
Note: If it's not already installed on your computer, you
will need the
free Adobe Acrobat Reader to open
and print the file.
Click on the 'Get Adobe Reader' icon on the left side of the page,
download and install the software.
